Positive thinking

Often negative thoughts like "I'm no good" can make you feel bad about yourself. Often, psychotherapy can help you reduce negative thinking and focus more on positive thoughts.

Relaxation techniques

If you're stressed, try to find ways to relax. For example:

  • Get active. Take a walk or go for a bike ride. Even a little physical activity can help you feel better.

  • Get quiet. Meditate. Relax your body and clear your mind by focusing on a word, a sound, or your own breathing.

Set reasonable goals

Keep it simple, and scale back if you need to. Break down big tasks into smaller ones and only do what you can. For example, don't plan an entire weekend; plan a day at a time.
